The Peterborough Pirates Triathlon Club

Established in 2008, the Peterborough Pirates Triathlon Club is a volunteer-led organization based in Peterborough, Ontario, dedicated to nurturing youth athletes aged 4 to 20 in the sport of triathlon.Under the leadership of Kent Crockower, the club has expanded from six athletes in its inaugural year to over 80 members, many of whom train year-round.The Pirates have a strong track record, with athletes competing at prestigious events such as the Ontario Summer Games, the Canada Summer Games, and the ITU World Championships.


The club offers a range of programs tailored to different age groups and skill levels, including Active Start (ages 4-7), Learn to Train (ages 8-11), Train to Train (ages 12+), and Train to Compete (ages 12+), emphasizing skill development, physical literacy, and healthy living.Coached by a team of experienced and passionate individuals, the Pirates foster an inclusive and competitive environment that encourages athletes to achieve personal bests while forming lasting social connections.
